Enhancing Quality, Cost, and Schedule Performance
At the beginning of our involvement with the program, there were extensive quality problems, missed delivery dates, and lawsuits between the U.S. Air Force and the company. The Air Force was so dissatisfied with the company’s performance that it was threatening to cancel the program in its entirety. Working closely with leadership and internal change agents, we helped the organization develop high performance teams who provided countless quality improvement ideas and strengthened working relationships across the organization. Quality, cost and schedule performance dramatically improved leading to the program winning the Malcolm Baldrige Quality Award, developing a strong relationship with its Air Force customer and becoming one of the most profitable programs in the company.
